At the March 24th CONSPA Membership meeting, Connecticut State Building Inspector Omarys Vasquez discussed upcoming building code revisions, which are anticipated to take effect on July 1, 2026. A significant change involves the barrier code for pool and spa construction: a powered safety cover will no longer be accepted as a replacement for a fence barrier. NESPA’s Quarter Century Club brings together industry leaders to celebrate their longevity in the industry and their contributions to its ongoing success. The members who make up this group meet annually at the Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City. 2026 saw several, new inducted members, and many impressive career milestones and contributions were celebrated among fellow NESPA members.
